We took the Eurostar over to Paris for major interiors & décor Trade Show Maison Objet!

The show brings together a 360°product offering. Decoration, design, furniture, accessories, textiles, fragrances, novelty, the world of children, tableware – lots and lots of ground to cover! (literally! Comfortable shoes recommended..)

TRENDS - What we spotted

The main trend areas we picked up in homeware were coloured glasswear and diverse textures – including overlapped wood, mirrored bubbles and objects encased in glass.

Within the world of stationary slogans were still prominent, and pastels came through strongly across the board. Kids showcased an array of animals the favoured unicorn still not appearing to go anywhere. Flamingo’s did however appear to be a strong second contender.

Another theme that was clear to see was organic & natural fibres as well as a strong sense of travel – this was featured throughout categories, from bamboo chairs to wooden mirrors, lamps, kitchenwear even skincare made from broken down pine wood!

A SNAPSHOP OF OUR FAVES

It was almost impossible to cover every area of Maison Objet, but we tried!

We spent the longest time in the Craft section – there were so many creative designs and unique concepts. Some of our favourites are featured below including the structured linear skeleton lights that were constructed from completely flattened glass.
